What is CBT? It stands for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Cognitive is what we think, Behavioural is what we do and Therapy is what we change.
A talking therapy that can help you to manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. CBT can be applied in many different situations and to many different problems and works by teaching you skills and techniques, that once you have learnt, you can use forever.
It is most commonly used to treat anxiety or depression, but is also useful for other mental and physical health problems. You work at your own pace and set yourself goals that are realistic and achievable.
You will learn how to overcome possible obstacles that you may encounter and any barriers that may prevent you from achieving your goals. You will learn to identify your own thoughts and feelings, where they come from and how to overcome them, and how to break the cycle.
